    You are so awesome. I found the Shepherd tartan about 7 years ago and haven't been able to find it since. Now with Aiden on the way, I've been wanting to find it again.

    Matt Newsome is the curator of the Scottish Tartan Museum in Franklin, NC. Their number can be found on their website, found on the many links scattered around this site. He is very knowledgable and helpful. I'd highly recommend him as a resource for anyone trying to find a tartan or for info on a traditional kilt, belted plaid, or earlier highland dress.

    Sounds like he has high praises from the members here. I'm leaning more toward a traditional kilt. My only concern would be that the weight would be too much for a baby.
