Well it's the last highland games of the season for the Carolinas. It will be held on Saturday November the 4th at Hendersonville, NC.
Take note of the new location.

I will see if Clan Wallace or MacBubba will let us have a Xmarks
sign up sheet. I will be at the Clan Wallace tent a good bit.
I just wanted to see if anyone else is going to make it.

My whole tribe will be there. My son will be playing with the Montreat Pipe Band, and I told the games organizers that I'd be up for some volunteer work, so I've no idea where we'll be...

Kilted CodeWarrrior -- Let me know if you're serious...I can put you onto the best campgrounds (many close down by Nov. 1st) and driving routes for your touring pleasure. If only we had a castle nearby.....wait-- have you seen the Biltmore House yet?

That's about as close to a castle as you'll find here in the states.

I shudder on writing this, since every time I tell Bill I'll be somewhere my life gets in the way and I end up standing him up, but, yep, I plan on being there. I developed a microtear on my right rotator cuff a few weeks ago, so I don't know if I'll be competing or spectating, but I do plan to be there.
I hope I get to see you again, too, Rob!

Geez, Barclay, I knew that it just had to be something serious to keep you away from the pub all these weeks! I sure hope the shoulder hasn't diminished your ability to hoist a pint.

Clan MacBubba has agreed to allow us to post a sign in sheet at their tent.
I will have it there by around 9 to 9:30 am.
What do you say to meeting up around 1:30 at their tent for a group photo?
I think Hunting McCleod is playing at 12:30 and I hope to catch that show.
Bill's son and the Montreat Scottish Pipes and Drums will be in the arena performing at 11:30 am.

The wife and I were there, but I hadn't seen this thread and didn't know about any sign-up sheets. Sorry I missed you guys. We spent most of the afternoon with Alex Beaton whom we have known for two decades. It was a good time for sure, but just a little on the chilly side.
