    Opinions wanted: bonnet color

I have a Lovat green Argyll jacket that looks great with my kilt. I want to get a balmoral that looks good with that outfit because I don't care for the look of my black one with that jacket.

I looked at lovat green balmorals at games this summer. I had my kilt on, but not the jacket, and my wife didn't like the color of the bonnet. I thought one would look good with the jacket, but I saw her point, as well. I also saw a pic on here, recently, where a lovat green bonnet didn't match the lovat green jacket, and I didn't care for that look, at all.

SO - here's the question: Should I get a dark green balmoral, which would match my tie and one of the primary colors of my kilt, or keep looking for a lovat green one that would match the jacket?

    balmorals...

I like the dark green balmorals, but have you considered a fawn balmoral with lovat green dicing?

Those would be my two suggestions, for what that is worth.

    Cheers,

    Todd

Thanks, Todd. I don't care for dicing, so I'm counting you as a vote for dark green.

I recently got the "Special Forces Green" balmoral from glengarryhats.com and really like the color:

Go dark....I was foolish enough to get myself a lovat green glengarry...the thing itself is ugly and on top of my head it's even worse

Black, dark green, dark blue...are much better I think...oh and maybe the "airborne red".

I have one too. another vote for Dark Green - It is pretty versatile, and the quality of these hats is good, without needing a lot of break-in time to get that soft, droopy look.
