I also had my first outing this evening. I attend night classes at a local technical school. I decided to wear the kilt. If I am going to wear the kilt, why not just jump right in! Being one who is not a "trend setter", I was a bit nervous, but God helped me. I did not hear one negative comment. I got a couple of questions, but I was not asked what was worn under the kilt. All in all, I had a great experience. The biggest encouragement came from a man in my class who is a big golf fan. He said Tiger Woods wears kilts and he thought kilts were "cool."

I do have one quick question. Is it OK to wear kilt hose with a "modern kilt" such as the Utilikilt? I would appreciate the feed back!
Tiger Woods wears kilts? Now that's one I'd love to see at the Masters. Hootie would have a stroke. As for the hose, I'm definitely not an expert, but I'd say only pushed down with hiking boots. I don't think the hose worn in the traditional way with flashes would be appropiate.

With the cooler weather I do wear the hose up with my hiking boots, but I don't wear flashes. In winter weather practicality is the number one concern.

    OK OK OK Brown...

hey, i stand corrected, if you want to wear brown...
and yes, being a born briar patch in kaintuckee..
Gray with brown, in grace and glory of the of the failed free rebellion..
( no, my people didn't fight for nor own slaves, they just felt put upon by strangers from a foreign north), i can understand the pride in that..( i have a general Lee and fly from sports kilt... love it)
    so, i stand corrected..
but i just think black and gray looks nicer..
but then if we all worried about how anyone else thought, we'd wear pants..

    qvo evo demonstratum..
