The day before our wedding, we'd gone to the registrar to pick up our marriage schedule in Edinburgh. While we were there, we were asked to witness a civil ceremony for a nice couple who'd come to Edinburgh from France to get married.

I'd taken some pictures of them as they hadn't brought their camera, and e-mailed them the results.

What I didn't know was that they'd come to Edinburgh Castle on the day of our wedding (we were a bit caught up in the whirlwind, and didn't see them!) and they took a picture of us going up the hill to the Chapel.

This is a nice shot - it shows the reasonably clear skies, how well her shawl matched the piper's red, and how well my own kiltmaker did their pleat-to-sett, as well as just a bit of the pleat swing as we're going up the hill.

I just got this one e-mailed to me today. I like it.
