Anyway, a kilt was featured in tonight's episode, the nice reverend got one as a gift from his teenage daughter who was studying in Scotland, and he was delighted to get it, had always wanted one, etc. He wore it to work at the church office (with a regular length blazer and no sporran) and declared that he liked it so much that henceforth he would wear his kilt daily between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
He cheerfully handled the good-natured ribbing from his kids and congregation, and I would have to say that the kilt was presented very positively.
It's still an irritating show worthy of derision, though the reruns feature the fetching Jessica Biel.
Sciuropterus, you have a rare gift for making your point in the most dryly humourous fashion!

As another poster has pointed out, the pertinent clip from this show is featured on youtube somewhere. This is the only experience I have of viewing this particular show as it is not screened on TV here in England, however, I have seen enough to know that your description of the show as 'preposterous' is entirely acurrate. Would you be so kind as to hurl one or two extra sarcastic comments toward the screen on my behalf when you next have to endure an episode. Many thanks.
