camo kilt update
Ok, I'm pretty much done with it. All I have left to do is put buckles and belt loops on it. I tried a few things with this kilt that I didn't do with the tartan kilt I made. First, I put a reverse pleat in this one. I really wish I'd put a reverse in the tartan kilt now. What didn't work out so well, however, is that I tried stitching the edges of the pleats. Between that and the fact that I had a few sewing machine hiccups (on exposed white portions of the kilt in black thread ) This kilt is destined to be the grunge kilt for working on the car and the like. I should get some pictures posted later.
My next kilt project should be easier, as we're looking at an apartment tomorrow that's about 100 square feet bigger than the one we're in now, and that should mean a little bit more room to work in. (I bet if any of the folks whose kiltmaking instructions I read saw how tiny my workspace is they'd choke! I'll try and put a picture of that up later too.)
