As Edinburgh hogmanay was washed out I decided to pop over the other side of the hills into Lancashire to spend New Year with my Brother-in-Law & his family. He joked about taking a kilt... I also thought I'd take one for him and it turned out to be useful. His Sister-in-Law dared us to go to the local pub (can be a bit rough) and if we did she'd donate some money to a local charity that he has just swum 26 miles for. We got the money and several pints from locals... Happy New Year! Phil
That sounds like a successful night, better than getting rained out anyday. Happy Hogmonay
Two smart looking kilts - I especially like the Wallace. Great way to spend Hogmanay. Nice to hear of kilts being well received in a Lancashire pub.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.
I thought it was a Wallace tartan too. But, it appears there are more black tram lines than on the Wallace??
What a great story! Kilted for charity.... I wonder how that would work around here.... Donate money to a charity and I will wear the kilt.... Works for me!
