    New Freedom Kilt

    Life is good!

I received my new Freedom Kilt yesterday. I had it special made for the week long Oklahoma D-Day paint ball tournament this June. I'm not a hunter anymore but I believe that I now own the ultimate hunting kilt. Heck, it might be good for sneaking up on fish too.

I have one complaint about this kilt. Seems that it will cost me a lot of money in the future. I'll be needing more kilts from Steve. It has wonderful construction. There was not even one thread hanging out that I needed to cut off. And it fits perfectly. What am I supposed to do about that? I always spend an hour getting to know my new kilt by cutting threads off it.

In the following pictures (in the hotel in South Florida that I've been stuck in for 2 months) I am wearing my new Freedom Kilts Tiger Stripe Cargo model. It has side slash pockets, side cargo pockets, and rear cargo pockets. I'm also wearing cocoa brown Heritage Hose from Steve and Tiger Stripe flashes that Steve made for me so I could be stylin' at Oklahoma D-Day. The hose are expensive, but they fit perfectly. There is no stretching around the heel. They just fit.

A special thanks to Steve and Bobbie for getting this kilt made and getting it shipped to me while I am working out of of state.

The hat is a Tilly Hemp hat. If you need a rugged hat (and I mean RUGGED) .... get yourself one of these.

I may not be the best dressed at Oklahoma D-Day this year but I have to be in the top 10. (The other 9 being kilts too of course).

For those of you that do not know, I got into kilts because of Oklahoma D-Day last year. There were several kilts there last year. Mostly in the Marine tartan. I chose tiger stripe because I'm old school. Everybody wears desert and woodland camo these days. I guess I just have to be different.

That looks absolutely superb ! An excellent job from Steve and his team at Freedom kilts, and the hat and hose co-ordinate well with the kilt.

Can you see the side slash pockets in the first picture? They are hidden in the pleats.

adjusted the colour timing and brightness of your pictures,
they are a little easier to see now.

You did a nice job with photo shop or whatever you used. I'm too lazy. I work on computers 14 hours a day and don't get too energetic about such things when I get back to the hotel.

As far as the vertical / horizontal tiger stripes ... I have worn the real deal. I know which direction the stripes went 35 years ago. I am pretty lucky to be alive and I'm happy with the vertical stripes of the Freedom Kilt. It matches the tree bark of the trees in Oklahoma. So in my mind there is no hitch.

Looks really good - I hadn't really considered a camo kilt 'til now - think I need to rethink that.
