    Confessions

Yesterday evening Elva and I went to our bi-yearly confessions at St. Anthony's Church here in Forest Grove.
The wall I was standing and leaning against while waiting in line has a forced air base board heater. I was wearing my Scottish Freedom kilt and the warm air from the heater was blowing up the back of my kilt, I was contiplating my past thoughtful sins and the warm air blowing up the back of my legs was generating new sinful thoughts in my mind. Rising to the occasion is not something I have to worry about though, so no problem there..
I didn't tell that part to the priest or my wife though.

The temperature outside in the sun today, was about 8C, but the breezes swirling around my kilt as I worked in the yard, felt great! Wearing a kilt outside, is a close second to being naked.

I remember when I was in Paris for the World Cup in 1998, there were literally thousands of kilted Scots in the city for the opening game against Brazil. The night before the game, the avenue where the famous Moulin Rouge is was flooded with kilts and most of the Scots were standing in the central reservation where the huge extractor fans were coming from the Metro. It was like a scene from the Seven Year Itch starring Marilyn Monroe only with a multitude of kilted Scots playing the lead role. Not for the faint-hearted but there were no arrests as the French Police just looked on in amazement.
