One last trip down the catwalk
****** APRIL FOOL ****** APRIL FOOL******* APRIL FOOL*******
SO I have fooled at least 3 people by the following message in about 5 hours. Happy April Fool's day
The Leather Rkilts will be the last kilt that I will ever order. After the Kilt Fashion Show at Doolin's, I will auction off all of my kilts at ebay. I will donate all the proceed to a Charity. I no longer have the desire to wear kilt any more. I don't like the fact that people think I am Scottish, even I am a full blooded Chinese. I also hate people assume that I play the bagpipe. I don't play the bagpipe and I never will. Bagpipe is the single most annoy instrument on the planet. I rather listen to my nail scratching a chalk board or the nagging from my ex-wife.
Thank you for the fun. I will miss you guys, but my not my kilts.
I will be driving to Old Navy and get a few pairs of shorts and jeans. They are far better and cheaper than kilts.
See you around.

So ... 1596 posts in a little over two years, and you're just quitting cold turkey?

There are worse things strangers can think about you. If this is your rationale for going back to trousers (and Old Navy, of all places), then a few weeks of wearing them exclusively ought to remind you why you tried out kilts in the first place.
Goodbye and good luck ... but I have a feeling you'll be back.

Take care of yourself, Raph...
I know that you've been around the boards alot longer than just Xmarks. But in retrospect, it seems that some of your posts have been leading up to this for a while.
I've always admired your tenacity and forthright approach in spite of the obvious visible ethnic challenges. You made a splendid kilts ambassador. You get 2 thumbs up from me!
Unless you view this move as a complete divorce, might I suggest that you hang on to one kilt, if not for special occasions, perhaps then for old times sake. You never know what lies ahead.
.....And stop in once in a while to say hello.....

Well, it's a strange post and I wish you well, with all my heart. But I do wish you'd left out the comments about bagpipes. I personally think they are a beautiful and resonant instrument.
I hope you're as happy and comfortable in your jeans and shorts and that your future is happy.
Take care.

A very funny understanding on my part.

Ah, the Roman New Year.
I agree. Bagpipes are the worst things ever invented. I'd rather be stretched on the rack, drawn, quartered, deep fried, and served with chips before having to listen to those damn things.
What do you call a thousand bagpipes at the bottom of the ocean?
A start!
What do you call a man who can play the bagpipes, and doesn't?
A gentleman!

Happy birthday, Raphael! (At least I hope so.)
By way of explanation: on another board I frequent, not about kilts at all, members will make out of character statements to indicate that they have a birthday coming up. Like, "I'm tired of this Harley I think I'll buy me a scooter" or "on reflection, I really think that x causes such a social problem that it really should be heavily regulated by the government" or so forth.
I hope that your post is presented in a similar vein. If not, well, you're a grown man, and I must respect your decision and wish you happy trails, clear skies and trailing winds.

Hmmm....People seem to be a little slow today. I haven't even had my first cup of coffee yet, and I see what's going on. Anyway, Happy April Fools Day Raphael. You went trolling, and you caught a few big ones.

For some reason I thought it was 31 March!
I won't give up kilts until the next spaghetti tree harvest!
