I'm 5'11" as well, and my made-to-measure kilt is 23.5 inches long. I haven't ordered a Stillwater, yet, but It's nice to know I'll be able to wear one. Unlike some, here, I'm not addicted. The two kilts I have are plenty, though I can see getting one more.

Ron, your sizes sound reasonable, but make sure whatever you do that you follow the kiltmaker's directions on measuring. One may do it a little different than another. Some will want you to take measures over clothing, some may not.
To me the important thing is to determine where you want the bottom of the kilt to fall. I prefer mine at the top of the knee. I measure up from the top of the knee to the point I want to "carry" the kilt. For a casual it's 22" for a traditional 24" (personal preference). At that point I measure my diameter around. Lastly, wrap it around the widest part of your hips and butt. And that's all you need.

I am 6' and my first (and only) tartan is a BW SWK, the 24 sits 1" above my naval and hits right about mid knee maybe a little higher. would not mind having one just a little shorter so i can wear it lower but i am happy with what i have.

I love my Stillwaters and they are my choice for "active" wear like hiking and highland games, don't get me wrong, but at 5'7" with a 28-29 inch inseam I know that before I can wear it, I'm gonna have to hem it. It's just a given at this point. If I don't hem it, it becomes a formal gown and I don't have proper shoes for that, nor do I know how to dance back'ards.

I'm just over 5'9" and the Stillwaters are fine on me. My other traditional kilts are 22 and 1/2" in length. I wear the Stillwaters about an inch or so higher and they hit just above mid knee.

I'm 6' and my new Stillwater (first kilt!) is about the perfect length for me. With the top of the kilt at my belly button, the selvedge is at mid knee.

I'm 5'10" and I like the way my SWKs fit. I like them at, or slightly above the navel. and to hit the top of my knee. Problem is I've got a bulging midsection which helps the waist to slip, dropping the edge to mid-knee, acceptable, and sometimes bottom off the knee, unacceptable. I find that until I've got a couple of drinks in me and don't care anymore, that I need to occassionally hike the waste up.
My traditional kilt is a 23" drop, and it too wants to slip at the waste a bit, but I've found that even when it slips it doesn't go too low on the knee. I just need to get used to the feeling of the waste being lower, and the edge hitting my knee.

Rich, Your Night stalker looks like a perfect fit, and goes great with all the black accessories.
