    Two suggestions

All of those sea-sick meds are mostly just antihistamines. Any of the new non-drowsy OTCs will work. And for those nuts that you would normally have to hold, find the aircraft equivalent floating achor nuts. There are even solid ones that are a little more difficult to get a thread started on a moving boat. All of them are self locking so you don't have any problems. I've got tons of them if you'd like to see some. You can epoxy them or rivet them inside and all you have to do is thread your bolts from the outside. When I had my boat in San Carlos I retrofitted it with these almost everywhere. It made changing hardware and pre-sail inspections easy. They are very resistant to corrosion also. Good-luck, O'Neille

I have been following Alan's link to the Singlehanded Sailing Society and haven't seen a lot of information about The Ankle biter. Checking today it appears she retired from the race.

    Alan,

Hoping you are safe and sound friend. By even attempting this race you showed a lot more gumption, courage, and skill than a lot of us could ever hope for.

    Cheers

    Jamie

At the start, before a rather disappointing race...

Yes, I wear a helmet when I go offshore.
