Possible Kilt night here in Atlanta. This is on our website www.emeraldsociety.com, and was asking for the members participation for this event. I wanted to let the X Marks community know about this event.

Honor Guard Fundraiser
On August 10, 2007 from 5:00pm through 10:00pm the Metro Atlanta Police Emerald Society's Honor Guard will be hosting a fundraiser. The event will be held at "On the Border" Mexican Restaurant. The restaurant is located at 400 and Lenox Rd.

A por tion of the proceeds will go to the Honor Guard to offset the costs they incur throughout the year. Honor Guard members are not compensated for their efforts; they represent the Emerald Society and their respective departments with pride.

The event will be called "Cops in Kilts". Our Honor Guard Members will be in their kilts, serving the food to all the patrons in the restaurant. Our own B.C. Williams will be playing his Pipes and we will have a Master DJ throughout the event. It should be a wonderful evening. So come out to have some drinks and great food, and support a group who supports others without fail.

One is at 1 Buckhead Loop NE # 130, Atlanta , and the other is at 3060 Peachtree Rd NW, Atlanta

At which one will your event be held?

NOTE: I called and found that it is the same place with 2 addresses.

Smoking is allowed only outside on the patio, so we don't have to worry about leaving with smelly kilts that need to be cleaned. Thanks for that.

What time(s) will the piper play?

Not neccessary, but if you have a specific time you can be there, then you might want to set one up.

The band doesn't have their own shirt yet, we just have the Metro Atlanta Police Emerald Society t-shirts, hats etc.
