Impossible. They died childless, and were succeeded by her sister, Anne, who also died childless.

Anne had many children but they all died in infancy or very young.

Did William have any other children with any one else?

Not heard of any but if he did they would have been illegitimate.
His wife Mary had 3 unsuccessful pregnancies.

Additionally, William was not English, but Dutch.

ardcholle,
Please take a minute and read the update from jordanjm immediately above your response. The Mother-in-law in question has taken a different stance with a bit of gentle teaching. Perhaps you should edit your post.
Cheers

But was a first cousin to his wife, Mary, and a Stuart descendant.
As the late Victoria Eugenia, Queen of Spain, is said to have remarked to an American who complimented her on her English, "I am not Spanish. I am the Queen of Spain."
At any rate William probably had no children outside of his marriage since he is reputed to have prefered the company of men to that of women.
The only way the woman in question could be descended from anyone closely related at all to William and Mary is if she descends from Bonnie Prince Charlie, Mary's great nephew, through an illegitimate daughter. I believe all of those people are Polish.

And this relates to the thread how?
So what if it's wrong, it's a classic bob and weave and MIL and DH are talking again. Progress.
In any case my input would have been to have DW speak to MIL and I stay out of it. If DW didn't want to speak to MIL, oh well, I wouldn't push it.
Because the other rule takes over. GRANDCHILDREN CAN DO NO WRONG BEFORE THEY ARE TWELVE YEARS OLD. Take the kilted child and MIL out to, oh , say Starbucks, let somebody else make a similar comment and watch all hell break loose.
Stay cool, don't do any permanent damage to MIL, and you, actually Grandson, will win this. You've already made progress.

Well, it relates to the thread in that bragging about a bogus descent from royalty that is easily disproven---in fact, is common knowledge--- says a lot about a person and her values.
