Great photos. Perhaps we have a new pose - the wscottmac, with the pleats flying.

Good looking kilt. I'd agree about the flashes, leave them off with the boots and use them with low shoes.

I especially like the way you showed how well it worked with the twirl.

I just can't believe we haven't heard from Ron yet...

Gonna wear it out to the pub tonight. The McIlroys (a Celtic band - 2 members from Edinburgh -- pipes, guitars, bodhran, fiddle, etc.) are playing. I may be the only one there kilted -- other than the band, but I'm looking forward to the tunes and the pints.

    Here I am.

Was working a 12 hour day and then celebrating 18 years of sobriety (a miracle for a drunk like me) on the 7th, another 11 hours at work on the 8th, and on the road down here to my lady's place on the Hopi reservation yesterday.

Don't get to the picture site as often since my dial up rig takes forever to download the high pixel pics that seem to be popular now.

Anyhow, that is one beautiful kilt!!

Great idea to show the pleat spinning. I'm trusting that since Kathy was educated at the Keith Kilt School in Scotland and has sewn well over 1,000 kilts since that she sews them up in the traditional manner she was taught in Scotland.

I've worn my kilt hose high with flashes with boots too...for the Veteran's Day parade last year. Gotta make that same decision again on Monday...(our little town moved the parade to "govt" Veteran's Day so as not to disrupt church services).

Pictures just can't show the true beauty and feel of a kilt hand sewn of quality wool by a well trained kiltmaker who puts their own name on their work. But them spin pics come close.

Congrats Ron on what is and must have been a difficult task...Wow! 18 years, truly a blessing and the fact that you share your experiences with others.

    Kind Regards,

    Chase

That is a truly beautiful kilt, and you accessorise it well. I am not keen on those boots, but wearing your hose down and without the flashes, would probably improve them - in my eyes! Congratulations also on capturing the 'twirl' so well - I find the delay in digital cameras makes those shots so difficult.
