Many of you have copies of these because I include some with every kilt I ship and I hand them out like candy. But here is the front and back of my business card. A link to X Marks has been on the back of my cards since almost the beginning. What else would anyone need to know about where to get more information?

I use an old program called Print Shop to design them and then print them on my color printer on business card stock that you can get at any office supply store.

Here's my newest business card - both sides. The tartan didn't scan particularly well, but the finished product looks fine. I'm never without a small stack of them.
Also - I have additional business cards with all the witty Answers to the Question in all my sporrans.

By the way, it's a cool looking card, but what is it for? I didn't see any kind of profession on the card. I can kind of make out the pipes, but to an untrained eye, I wouldn't know what you were holding.
The same as for Big Mikey ! I usually have talked about the my piping before offering a card so the recipient knows what the card is about. Ex: after a performance.

We may look alike at times but I'd wish our bank accounts be similar too (even just at times !)

The best book I've read regarding business cards is Bob Popyk's Here's My Card.
It not only provides a bushel-basket of design suggestions, but more importantly, how to present & market via your business card.

JS, that's a great picture. Do you get any questions about wearing the Jacobite outfit, though, as compared to something more modern?

I've received those cards only recently, so my 'sample size' is severely limited at present. Wee wifie posed a similar question when I was putting the card together. I'm always probing boundaries, and this bizcard is another. Cards are inexpensive, so it's easy to take a chance. If it gives people pause and they ask further questions, I consider it successful.
For years my bizcards have included a photographic image of me. That's always had positive reactions. Past cards have also had background scenes from Scotland - people really like that.
This current bizcard was taken on a moor in Perthshire in 2006.
You have more freedom of design by being a musician (piper). Conservative professions, such as banking, legal, brokers, etc don't have that luxury for obvious reasons.
