Shipping is prohibitive. Check American suppliers to avoid the gouging. Look at "http://furycelt.freeshell.org/kiltList.html"

fredonline is OK, but you will probably lose most of your value on any sporran in postage. Unless the sporran is hard to find in the US, I would pass on them for that bit of transatlantic commerce.

The word is their kilts are acceptable, but "mixed fibres".

    Their service is very good.

So, upshot is unless the item is hard to find in the US, use a US vendor.

I bought a belt and buckle from them. I was looking at the shipping on the sporrans, and I saw some pretty decent rates- about $16 US. The belt I got was nice. I've had a year and it's worn really well. One of those positive feedbacks came from me.

Thanks guys, I didn't realize that it was a GB seller and figure shipping. Anyway does anyone know where I can get a decent plain day sporran for not too muc $$$? My dog liked the leather on mine, so now I am sporranless.

I'm pleased with my nylon Nightstalker from SWK. I know they carry plain leather sporrans.
My next will be either a Thorfinn or an RKilts Tasmanian Devil.

Not inexpensive, but thorfinn sporrans or Wyvern leather. I really like my Wyvern leather sporran. I am still waiting for my Thorfinn, but I am sure it will be fabulous. Also, try:

    The Tartan museum store:
    http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/

    And USAkilts.

Ebay can net you some good deals, but you need to be wise as to price, quality, and seller.

I had wondered about them and am glad to see the comments posted here. I've found that shipping on ebay is always a concern no matter where the seller is located...and depending on your country of residence customs fees come into play...
