Interesting to see the straps and buckles in a casual kilt. Definitely need some work on the pleating (and the photography)

Wonderfully Made? Oh the irony...

It's my understanding that the pleats face the back in a reverse kingussie pleat style, which necessitates the attractive and appropriate inverted box pleat at the center back. It looks like these Kommando Kilt pleats face forward, which leaves unpleated fabric at the center back. Is there such a thing as kingussie style (or reverse reverse kingussie style)?
And they might want to get involved in an auction for an iron, too.

Yes there is a reverse Kingussie pleating style - but I must say the pleats in these kilts are few and far between.
An Iron would be a good Idea - You never get a second chance to make a first impression...

I have to say that I don't like the look of these kilts. They look cheap and badly made, though this may be partly due to the poor quality of the photos.

I don't like the look of them at all; They look like something I would make, if I ever tried to sew.

They are not Kingussie or reverse Kingussie, but rather some freaky dual Kingussie style. The pleats in front go back like on a reverse Kingussie, but the pleats in back face forward, with a regular (non-inverted) box pleat as on the original Kingussie style, and the two styles meet in the middle where they put the pockets. My guess would be that they do this to get around the challenge of making slash pockets that don't screw up the kilt, but I still think it looks awful.
For what they are charging, I'd say you'd be better off going with UK, SK, Alphakilts (we need an abbreviation for them) or just about any other contemporary kiltmaker.

I think we can abbreviate them to AK?

AK is usually for Amerikilts, I think.
