Hello, New member from West Virginia... Been lurking on the site for several days now trying to absorb as much as I can (especially from the Do's and Don't thread LOL). Great information and I cannot wait to purchase my first kilt. The wife and I have both traced back far enough to figure out she is part of the MacBean clan and I am part of the MacPherson, so we are enjoying looking at all the different tartans for both. I can see how these things can become an addiction lol. I was dead set on purchasing a kilt from Scotland, but reading the site I now see that there are several excellent makers here in the USA to choose from. Hopefully I'll be joining the kilted ranks soon. -Allen Canfield

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose… Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
