Just ordered Barbs book on-line.
BTW, is there a site that shows swatches of the different tartan patterns?
I wanted to track the one down that I bought. just to see what clans etc it is earmarked for. I chose this pattern for an entirely personal reason, but should I ever need additional material etc, Id like to know how it's refered to.

p.s. Out of curiosity, what will your daughter and her mates be performing at the Fringe Festival?
They are performing an all original play that the kids are writing themselves entitled "Live out loud".

The tartan finder at the Scotweb kilt store (see ad at top right) is easy to use and it has a search-by-color feature if you don't know the name of your tartan, provided it has a name. It uses the database from the Scottish Tartans Authority, so you'll have a deep well of patterns to search from.
Good luck with the kilt and show us the results when you're done?
Regards,
Rex.

A warm from Arizona!
We lived very near Oconomowoc when I was a student at Nashotah House. I had an enjoyable evening at The Pub in Oconomowoc when I was visiting The House this past October. I understand that there are two or three Nashotah students who have kilts and wear them for special occasions. One of them is a piper.

That is the "Black Stewart" tartan. It's essentially a fashion tartan based upon the every popular Royal Stewart tartan.
