...except the part where I suggest an X-Kilt in the new UK military camo. I've been trying to get my hands on some of that material myself, but so far have come up short. There are plenty of web sites in the UK that offer it, but like you, I'm cheap and don't want to pay freight and duty across the pond.

    Cavebear58,

My favorite hiking outfit is a camo X Kilt (made by none other than Alan H himself!)

I have found it extremely comfortable and durable on long hikes.

The nylon belts and sporrans I use are very lightweight and make a good addition to the contemporary look.

    Cheers

Laughing at oneself is not the same as being laughed at, especially when the suggestion is, well, not simply a matter of humor but a not-so-subtle insult.

I simply wish to assure you all that we are mostly quite literate here and, in many cases, well read.

If, in our rush to help another find a solution to a stated problem, we did not pay adequate attention to the mention of non-imported kilts, I'm sure we all apologize.

Please disregard my original suggestion and buy whatever you like. ith:

How about we compromise and delete the posts at issue and move on with the topic at hand?

    Try these http://www.scotweb.co.uk/sr_swhdr_fi...se?display=all

or Gold Brothers (Heritage of Scotland) could be a UK based resource for Acrylic kilts but probably not competitive with what Stillwater is charging.

I am agreeable to this, but as one of the contributors here in fairness I must take off my "Mod Cap" and will delete only my own posts.

I too very much enjoy Jock's posts and am sorry for any harsh feelings between us

    Cheers
