Freedom Kilts - what a great shop
Since Captmac and I are visitng friends in Victoria, BC (and taking advantage of being in Canada to mail Sheep in Wolf's Clothing's new cape) we stopped by the Freedom Kilt Shop to meet Steve. What a great shop. Beautiful workmanship on the kilts in progress. We were most impressed. Captmac got a new day sporan and belt, then Steve gave us both Xmarks clan badges. What a sweet thing. As soon as I get home, I'll download the photos and post them.
Thanks Steve. You're great!!

I agree
I stopped by last fall and I aree with everything you said. Of course, Steve had to put on fresh pot of coffee...but I think he was just trying to keep in practice. By the way, I hope he was working on my kilt.

Fresh coffee? Now that might be worth the trek from the opposite corner of the continent.

One would be hard pressed to enter Steves' shop and not be party to a cup of fresh java and a hearty dose of great conversation.

If any of you rabble get a chance to meet the lovely folks VMac & CaptMac you will find one of the nicest couple you could ever hope for.
Their visit was far too short but in talking to them I now know where my next cape is coming from.

Glad you got to see the Wizard.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

They have that power of persuasion down pat, eh!
It sounds like they are having a great trip!
If I visit my Dad sometime soon in BC, I may have to make a few side trips!

I love, absolutely love buying gear from shops in person! We in Washington state have a great shop locally, but I only get to see them in person at the various games in the region.
Games season is nigh, I can't wait!
