I signed on to this thread late. It is always amazing to me how generous folks are on this board. Kudos to all of you.

Man, the suspense is killing me. I can't wait to see what he looks like. This thread assures me that most people are awesome. They just need a chance to show it!

Great story and great response well done all.
Any updates on this?
The kilt order was placed with Rocky on the 12th, with rush service (that fee was waived, thanks Rocky!) so we're in "group jonesing" mode. Josh may have updates on the other items. :ootd:
I know NorCalPiper is an xmarks junkie like the rest of us and logs in atleast once a day.... how are things...any more needs?
Hey guys- We are eagerly awaiting the big moment when the kilt arrives!! F u r a t is head over heels with anticipation and is really learning a lot about highland culture. He even talks about how proud he would feel when his academy pipe band would march at their events and such. Just a SCOT at heart! I'd like to thank Dan, Ken, and Tyger for really giving happiness to someone who faces a serious change of life. Its REALLY something great to take part in. If ANYONE has anything to donate, it is greatly appreciated. He is already planning casual and dressed ways for wearing his kilt out, so no item is too small!!! Thanks again to everyone!-Josh
