It was smoking hot at the Livermore Highland Games with the Nor Cal Rabble...
What you don't believe the Nor Cal Rabble?
I have photographic evidence...
Here is a thread for the good Ladies and Gentlemen of the Nor Cal Rabble to post their pictures of the Livermore Highland Games!
Dances were danced, Cabers were tossed, and refreshing beverages (not to mention a lot of chocolate*) were consumed
More photos to come!
Cheers
Jamie :ootd:

It was hotter'n blazes at Livermore on Saturday, and I can tell you with authority that it was 102 degrees F on the athletic field on Sunday. It was so hot that the pine-tar "tacky" on the hammer handles got slick! Whooooiiieee.
Anyway, here are some pics from Saturday, when I was running around with a camera.
L-R way2 fractious, Demolay1310, The Kilted Surveyor and his lass, Ellen.
The Kilted Surveyor and Demolay1310 trade war stories (lies?) about adventures in the military.
The Amazing X Marks lurker, Bill, and his bird (top of the helmet) hangs out with way2fractious.
All the smoke in this pictures if from the Gatling gun that Panache posted pictures of..

Here's the view from the X Marks Rabble hangout tent, kindly supplied by Bunchdescendent and family, looking out over the athletic field and the grounds.
The tent provided SHADE and was *quite* popular!!! Here, Demolay1310 hangs out with Bunchdescendent and the little celtic dancer, who I clearly caught by surprise with the camera.
Here are a few pics for the "Lasses Wear" thread, though certainly not all of our X Marks lasses would opt for what some of these ladies are wearing!
Shadylass!
When it's this hot, everybody needs a parasol! The woman in the white dress is part of one of our local SCD groups, and illustrates what her Association wears at the Games.
One of the things I love about the Games is seeing the re-enactors, and especially some of the to-die-for dresses and gowns that the women have made. I can't imagine how much work....
