TSJ, you are a great asset to our community, and I always enjoy seeing the pix you pix you post of your fine school. I read the school's thoroughly, and I think it must be a very fine place to be educated.
A question: some of the lad appear to wear tan colored sporrans, some black, and the ladies none at all. What is the significance of the color of the sporran? Is it a rank designation?

Very interesting photos.
What is the rule on sporrans? I noticed several different badges on some, some without badges, and it appears only the boys wear them.

Super pictures, but I am disappointed by the suggestion that this may be the last kilted school in Scotland, I thought there were several schools where the kilt was part of the uniform.

Hello everyone, my dad is a latin master at this school, the school is 100 years old. The only other school were the cadets wear kilts is the RCST in England. That school was founded in 1814 after the battle of Waterloo. I went there myself. All the best Chris.

Hi everyone, I went to QVS myself, a very strict school, but I liked it. The other kilted school in the UK is the RCST in England. That school was hit by fire in 1958, alot of archive history was destroyed. If anyone has photo's or anything to do with the school, please get in touch, no matter what quality. A very interesting school for orphanes of the war. All the best Thomas.
