Kilted at the Minnesota Irish Fair
Yesterday I took in the MN Irish Fair with my dear wife and youngest daughter. It was well attended despite the terrible weather the night before and what would turn out to be tornados later last night. Maybe it was well attended because it was free with only $5-$10 for parking.
Anyway, yada yada yada, Jerry from SWK was there and we had a nice chat, he is much younger than I was expecting. Also the team from the Frugal Corner was there. Great selection and really nice people. The Celtic Croft and a few other vendors I have seen online were representing as well.
I must say, and this is why I am posting, they were all great. No one was badmouthing any other dealer, trying to shout over or beat the other guys prices and all were welcoming to their booths.
Lots of Irish wearing kilts, playing pipes, rugby, dog herding, drinking adult beverages, etc. I hope to go back again today and get a Sporran. After all of my looking I have decided my next kilt will be an Ancient MacLellan (family Tartan) and that I will continue to wear my kilts proudly.
I'll try to get pics, but yesterday was not a good day for carrying more stuff around. 91F and 88% humidity.
A proud Great-Great Grandson of the Clan MacLellan from Kirkcudbright.
