Impromptu Kilt Night @ Hampton Pub Pix
It was a great time last Friday evening at the Opening of the new Hampton Pub. That place was humming! The Bellhaven Scottish Ate flowed as the opening team from Fredericksburg kept setting us up with rounds. There was never an empty pint glass on the table.

I love these events that happen out of nowhere. They always seem to be more pleasurable than the ones that are over-planned.

We did indeed all have a good time! Besides the staff, we were the only ones in kilts and everyone loved it (which is one reason why we got all the free beer). One customer even thought we were servers and asked us what the Pub's hours were. He got a kick out of learning that Mael and I just liked to wear kilts.
The wee ones were running around and being boys of their age - and no one seemed to mind - in fact I think most enjoyed watching them play. But, being a bit late, the wee ones soon tired and had to go home, and took their parents with them.
I dispute Mael's contention there was never an empty glass on the table - there were plenty of empty glasses during the evening - but there was always a full one (or two) standing nearby to immediately take its place. Once the first round arrived we never had to order another - they just kept appearing.

Aye, Bill. That indeed was my point that we always had another pint to replace the empty one we finished!

Great picture. You were correct, the boys were tired, as a matter of fact they fell asleep before we got home. We did have a good time. Robin and I have been back three or four times and I took Dawson over there the other day for some great curry chips and a pint.
We are looking forward to another gathering in the future.
