Let's all go to Jock's house next Saturday and learn to fly fish. How about it?
I would be delighted to see any of you,but in fact fly fishing is not that difficult to learn, it is just a matter of getting the timing right. Learn a couple of knots and all it needs is less than a day to learn the rudiments with the right instructor. You chaps have probably the best access to some of the best and most varied fly fishing in the world in the USA and Canada.Forget all that myth and mystery nonsense, fly fishing is not that difficult, it can't be, I can do it!

Ahhhh, but we'd be in SCOTLAND fly fishing. It can't be any better than that.

Jock,
Good to see you're able to get out and about.
Keep at it. Don't give those fish a break

Is that the Spey by any chance, Jock. It looks a bit like the Gordon Castle water I fished in the past. I hope you do manage to get back on the water next year. Nothing like it for forgetting the cares of the world for a few hours. I will be back on the Tweed in a couple of weeks time and hoping for a few fish.
