Get thee to Garden Ridge!
Stopped by Garden Ridge Pottery for a bit on my way into work this morning, since I didn't have to be here until 12...
I didn't remember if they had a craft section or not, and I'm always hunting out various places for kilt making fabric. They do not, in fact, have a craft section, but they do apparently have a surprise shipment of 2 - 4 yard lengths of fabric, all priced at $5.99.
Most looked to be upholstery weight (and texture ), but I was able to pick up some nice herringbone wool, as well as a cotton plaid in shades of green and gold. You know, nobody said anything when I cut a few loose threads off and whipped out my lighter... Must be used to it. There were also some pretty heavy twill-woven cottons in solid colours, which I don't go for, but I know plenty of others do. Those were definite box-pleat material. Just a head's up for anyone interested.
Best,
Darryl
