    Hey!
Check this out! Someone told me there was a piper on American Idol and I found this. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing. This was already posted on a couple of other threads. The piper is Aaron Shaw of the Wicked Tinkers, a West Coast group, which, IMHO, is awesome.

Oh! My apologies! I didn't see it listed in the Media section so I thought it had gone unmentioned. If the mods feel this thread is extraneous, feel free to delete it.

I did think he did a great job! He should have brought the rest of the Wicked Tinkers with him though!

Piper was fantastic, but I didn't think that guy was all that great as a singer. Don't get me wrong, he's a good singer, but not an "idol".

Aaron said that he was playing electronic Deger pipes for that.

The pipes were in tune, but the singer was so offkey that it made the pipes sound bad.

Then the next day Aaron was on the Jay Leno show, where he was subjected to dumb jokes and had to participate in some schtick with the orchestra. The audience never got to hear what a great musician Aaron is.

As they say "all publicity is good publicity".
