Teacher's Tartan?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that this thread is to see who is interested in a Teachers tartan. I think it would be a more productive thread with a simple Yea or Nay. And if you would have interest in ACTUALLY getting a tartan woven if a design could be agreed upon. There has been enough previous discussion on other threads about what everyone thinks about tartan proliferation.

I agree, though I got into the argument full bore--as I usually do-- and sincerely apologize for getting all riled up. I don't take back anything as those are my opinions, and the reason I went on such a rant was simply to hit all the targets without reloading. If left to go on long enough someone will bring up each of those points(history, not from Scotland, not a clan or region, etc.)

I wanted a general tartan so as to attract more people willing to by. I am pretty sure if I made a tartan for Sand Ridge Jr. High School (where I work) I would be the only one buying it.

Which goes to the point of it being about money. So I guess I'm out.

Bricekolob, here's an idea. How about selling the tartan with all profit going to charity(not the exotic dancer)? I don't know which one. That's as tough a call as the colors for the tartan. Or just sell it at cost. Either way I'm in.
