I should do that. Get some of the glass bottles of Coke and walk around with them in my pockets, I can carry like 6-8. Plus the bottle opener, I would be good to go. Unfortunantly, I am 18, so no brews. I could spend a fortune on Jones soda and do my own labes. Call it Sgain Brew!!! Too bad I dont have the money.
Edit:
So, I checked the prices from Jones and its $30 for a 12 pack and $17 for a 6 pack. Custom picture, back print, but no nameing the soda. Thankfully, they offer Root Beer!

All in all, I like college and will continue to wear my kilt. It wont take long once people start asking what I am wearing to circulate that it is a kilt. I act like I am wearing pants, but watch their faces. Self confidence is key, as you all know.

You could always generate your label and print it out. I did that for a disabled neighbor that likes beer, but cannot have it for medical reasons. For Super-Bowl, I made a couple of generic labels that said "BEER" and wrapped them around his favorite soda. He, his wife, and family were all thrilled. Made super-Bowl a little more fun for a guy who is wheelchair bound.

Oh, that is an idea.
Well, here is an update.
I had to zip on campus to get something at the campus bookstore. It was a saturday, so only a few people were out. When I was almsot there, a guy on the side drinking an ice-thingy from starbucks called and said, "Hey! Can I ask you a question?"
I said sure and walked over.
He said, "Is that a kilt you are wearing?"
"Yes, it is one of the modern Utilily Kilts that are out there..." I said and we chatted a bit.
Body language told me he was extremely happy to hear that it was a kilt, not a skit.
I am hoping tommorow, Monday, I will get more response. I will be wearing my Black UK SUBMIT shirt too!

The Illinois St. Andrew's Society had a trip to Lake Forest College this summer as one of their outing. (Note that it's only about 30 miles from downtown Chicago to Lake Forest, so it's not that far of a drive...)
The Scots of Lake Forest
Scottish American History Club Bus Tour
July 17, 2010-- 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
By charter bus, the tour will leave the Scottish Home and travel to Lake Forest, Illinois. First stop will be the former home of Ogden Armour which is now the home of Lake Forest Academy. We will enjoy a box lunch and have a tour of the Academy.
After lunch, the tour will continue through the community by bus and see various homes where Scottish people have lived. Lake Forest has a rich Scottish history, perhaps the most concentrated area of Scots in Illinois. You will have an opportunity to see Lake Forest College, founded by Scots, the lake shore of Lake Michigan, and if time allows, perhaps the cemetery.

Regarding Lake Forest College, it's interesting to note - and I mean no disrespect to any religion here - that the story goes that while the Methodists were founding Northwestern, the Presbyterians were busy a few miles North founding Lake Forest.
I sense the need for another kilt for my daughter in something approximating the school colors. One of the PV MacQueens seems to fill the bill quite nicely. My daughter tends to want to wear a kilt as opposed to a mini-kilt...so...

Mindrop, sounds like things are going extremely well with the kilt. We'd love to hear any particular stories as the school year progresses.

Yes, I need to a get a few friends to snap some pics of me at college. They were taking a video durring the president barbique which I was filmed in. However, I have no clue if they have done anything in it or if I made the cut.
Pictures will come.
