Jim, you're a treasure! It's a wonder Hamish doesn't keep you locked up with his 100 kilts (except that he also needs you to drive on occasion).
Give our best to Hamish. Can't wait to hear that he's finally sprung from the convalescence home.

Did someone say diversion? I can supply small arms and explosives. Oh, wait. Probably the wrong kind of diversion. Eh. I tried.
Anyway, it's great to hear that everything is going well. Here's hoping it continues to go well and indeed begins going even better.

The slight hiatus from here is nothing sinister. It was due to my scheduled absence to attend a family gathering in the southwest of England. That was great success and and now that I'm back on the estates, I was able to see him today. The news is good.
With any luck at all, the next posting from these parts should be from The Hamish himself! On shedual, I am gong to the convalesence home tomorrow morning to collect him and bring him home. Other than some remaining tenderness and the lack of stamina one might expect, Hamish is very much his old self.

Considering the nature of the operation, that such a rapid recovery is possible is a testament to modern medicine. The NHS has done us proud. The only thing we need now are the results from the biopsy, which are due in a week or so. Fingers crossed.

 Jim

Hi Jim: Thanks so much for giving us such great news. I am new to this Forum but have conversed with Hamish over the last several years on another site. Good to hear that he is feeling his old self. Hoping to see his first postoperative post soon.
 Pat
