Personally, I don't have a problem with you wearing the jacket, even if it's the real thing. After all this is America. My problem comes from people misrepresenting themselves as something they aren't. Wear it in good health.

I once heard that the Marines borrowed the Canadian Army's Cadpat design - with a colour change - in developing the Marpat (not sure if is true). A thread on the history of recent camo design, now they are often used in modern kilts, would be interesting.
