Talking I've Got a New Kilt!!

My USAKilts Semi-Traditional in the German Heritage tartan actually arrived last week, but I was out of town. I felt like a junkie who needed a fix but wouldn't see his dealer for another week.

Anyway, it fits wonderfully. My only other kilt is a USAKilts casual, and when I bought it I was a little more...shall we say, "substantial" than I am now, so is starting to feel a little sloppy around the waist. What a world of difference between that one and this one!!

So, as required by X Marks law, here is proof that it happened:

The hose I'm wearing are really blue; for some reason they come out kind of purple in the photo, although I sort of like it. I've got some charcoal and some olive-ish hose on order.

And now I find out I'm going to be out of town for the Highland Games this year. Doesn't matter - I'll find places to wear it.

Very smart indeed - you can wear that anywhere! And I am sure you will.

    Regards

That looks fantastic. If I ever get a traditional kilt, I'm thinking that tartan will be the way to go, as I'm pretty much 100% German. I especially like how it looks when the socks are (or, appear to be) purple.

That tartan looks a lot nicer than I had pictured it "fullsize and kilted up." Excellent choice, both for tartan and kiltmaker! You wear it well, Sir.

I know. I'm actually thinking about buying some purple hose after taking those photos.
