Do you need a jacket? Summer in SOCAL is going to be ..... uh.... warm. Like MOR asked, is it a formal wedding? If not you would probably be okay with just a waistcoat or just a shirt and tie (again, a la MOR).

Like MOR, I'd go with a Spencer jacket. There's a sharp one on eBay right now (search for Vintage '80s Mens Short Black Pin Striped Tuxedo Jacket) with a starting price of $9.99...and it's less than 2hrs away from you. One problem: at 24" pit-to-pit, it may be too tight for you.

Hmm, I'll take a look for Spencer jacket. The wedding is semi-formal and it is in Colorado. I'm pretty sure it snowed there last week!

The waistcoat is a great idea too...

Thanks for all the advice, I would say my dilemma now is which good idea to choose from!

    Thanks again,
    Alex

Hey, I'm very close to you, in Tustin, and I have three kilt jackets. I would be happy to loan you one for the occasion if you wish.

I wear a US size 48 so my jackets should fit you.

    Cheers, Richard

True enough, some places here got snow last week...but yesterday was in the high 70's here. Bring a variety of clothes, we sometimes get all 4 seasons in one week.
