That is awesome
You are one of the reasons that I also joined X Marks the Scott. I would love to get another kilt. I just spent over ..well way too much on my new kilt with all the accessories and would love to qualify for another kilt. I will be in the market for another one in the near feature but need some time to gather the cash. I will save to do that and have nothing but respect for your generosity to this forum. Hopefully the folks you give the kilts to will appreciate it and work to further the Celtic tradition.
Thank you for your involvement to this forum.
You are the essence of our traditions.
Lang may your lum reek and a wee mouse never leaves your cupboard with a tear in its eye.

Well, if my time zones are correct, your offer expires in around 45 minutes. This is a great thing you're doing, and will come back to you in many, many positive ways.

Indeed... I have received a sufficient number of replies. I will put off making any selections until tomorrow, as I am completely worn out and I need to relax a little before turning in. I've also been a wee bit on edge lately because my doctor has got me on some crazy meds (no... nothing serious though). But I do feel about 2 degrees off-centre. Lol.
But just to keep the rabble informed, it seems that all three kilts will find themselves happy, new homes very soon -- and I'm thrilled!

This is the wonderful world of a close knit community, and this one especially. All for one and one for all. Well done CDN Sushi and may the ones gifted show this certainly happens with a photo.

Awesome idea ! !
Ya know... you'll be starting a bad habit for someone though! Once ya get 1 kilt... you have to have another...then another...then another.
I have 3 now and most likely will buy another this weekend at the Highland games.
Lord...give me strength to say NO ! ! But I love each one!

Hey gang!
Just thought I'd pop in and give a quick update. In the past 48 hours, I received a total of 11 requests from 10 people... All the requests I received were heartfelt, and it makes me wish I had 11 kilts to give away rather than 3...
So, if there should ever happen to be another member who needs to also prune his kilt kloset, please know that there are many folks who would love to hear from you. Who knows, maybe if it caught on, we could have an XMTS kilt adoption program!
That said, I had to do some name-out-of-hat-pulling.* I've chosen the tentative recipients for the kilts and am now in the process of sending out PM notices to those who were successful.
Just so everyone knows.... Because I don't want to disrespect anyone's wish for privacy, I will not disclose the names of those who PMed me, nor who "won" without their express permission... But if they give me the go-ahead, I'll put up a later update, or allow them to announce it themselves.
Cheers,
JD

This is a wonderful gesture for those who will no benefit from your generosity. It really does help to make XMTS a unique "place" to spend some time. I am sure your kilts will be enjoyed a great deal.
