Ballad of Nessie
Yesterday I put on my "University of Grumpy" T-Shirt and dragged my husband to the much anticipated film sequel that opened over the weekend, Winnie the Pooh. Before the start of the film, there was a wonderful short (which really harkened back to the Disney shorts of the 60s and 70s) called, The Ballad of Nessie. It is the story of how the Loch Ness monster, and her rubber duck McQuack, came to Loch Ness. The villain is (I hope I have the name right), Angus McFrugal, and he and his henchman wear kilts. The animation is very stylized, and I doubt it is meant to be a specific tartan, but it was fun none the less.
I've heard that some other film sequel also came out this week that included a kilt. All in all, a good weekend for us kilties!
By the way, the main film is good to, not as good as its original, but I still have a very warm feeling inside when I left.
Cheers
Chris
