I intend wearing a "cheappie" when I go back to Gambia at the end of the year. Due to the sand and the dust it is not worth taking an expensive kilt, it would get filthy in no time. As it is only about five yards it will be easier to wear in the heat too.
I will be there for St Andrew's day, Christmas, My Birthday, New Year and of course Burn's night. I think kilted will go down well and Gambia does have at least one pipe band the pipe major of which will be piping in the haggis at my friends pub on Burn's night.
