Critique my summer wear IV/show your own
Here is my own take on the running theme.
I don't know whether or not anyone has brought up gingham shirts yet... No idea whether or not they go with a kilt (traditionally), never tried it until today.
Here is the pic I took:

I put the thing together with the hypothetical stinking-hot Highland Games setting in mind.
The pic is a wee bit dark, as I had to take the photo inside, as the weather here is not really conducive to being outside (without a jacket at least). (Holland is having a terrible summer...)
I am wearing ghillie-brogues, as I have them, and are what I would realistically wear to a games, out walking about in fields all day (I wouldn't wear my nice black dress-shoes).
The hose are wool, but a merino/possum mix, which is reasonably light, and cool compared to my other wool hose. The flashes are from the band. (working on getting some garter ties)
Kilt
Sporran is also from the band. I don't have my own day-sporran, and when I have my new sporran which I am commissioning, it would ultimately take the place of this one and my evening-wear sporran. (That's the plan anyway!)
Gingham shirt. I always roll up my sleeves in a casual setting.
Lambswool tie.
Please give comments, and please feel free to add your own pics!
Cheers,
Michael
