The other week I was off out with my Wife et co. and after putting my little boy in the car and while doing up my daughters seat belt, a brisk gust of wind took my 13oz kilt to waist height behind me. I went inside and changed into trousers, deeming the kilt not appropriate for that day. It's all about choices and I don't have an axe to grind so wearing the Kilt or not, is not, for me, a big issue.
On a recent evening out with my wife, a woman thought it appropriate, and without permission, to snap a picture up my Kilt. After she loudly exclaimed to her assembled chums that it satisfied "the question" for her. I asked if I could now have a picture up her skirt. It created momentarily, a slightly embarrassing and tense atmosphere where I'm supposed to be game for a laugh but she is to be respected as a "lady".
Interesting set of double standards displayed although needless to say, I didn't persue the matter. I do think she got the message though.
Wear what you like under your Kilt, try not to offend others in whatever you do but be aware, the world is full of idiots.
