Hi from Houston.
Thought I would introduce myself right off. My name is Mike from Houston and i am new to kilts and all. I have been listening to Irish, Scottish and English "pub" music for years. It's very nice to get back to your roots, also drinking and brewing a proper beer. About three years ago at a local fair a then lady friend of mine asked me to try on a "kilt". She snapped a quick photo and commented I looked good in it. She has since become my wife and we return to that fair every year. Last fall I planned to buy a kilt but was disappointed in the quality. So I put it out of mind. It's coming up on that time again. I am brewing mead for the fair and doing research on kilts and kilt makers. I am particularly interested in a USA kilt American National. Their semi trad looks very nice but I wonder if the Casual might suit my needs better. I don't plan to wear this kilt anywhere requiring a jacket and tie. Then there is the hem length and waist length options. I know I have a lot of reading to demand have already been lurking for a month or so and decided to register and say hi!
Please excuse the spelling errors. My IPhone is "helping" me.
