I'm short at 5'7" and anything off the rack is too long for me. Worn where I want to is uncomfortable in the legs. Worn comfy on the legs, I feel like I have an ACE bandage around my ribs. Simple solution... I hemmed mine to where they should be. Much more comfortable all around, and I'm told I look much better in them... well, actually... I'm told that the kilts look much better on me.

But hey, it's all about the kilt, right?

Seriously though, a kilt that actually fits you the way it should is much more comfortable. Sort of like shoes that way.
