Finally...I've been through this thread and don't recall HRH ever wearing a PC...I might be wrong. Are you maybe referring to the picture of him wearing a "Balmoral" doublet? I don't think I've ever seen him in a PC. Which post are you referring to?
It is the velvet 'Balmoral' doublet. One can purchase this style of doublet from Highland Clans out of Argyllshire (same place Sandy purchased his tartan, 'Appin' jacket). I have a few bespoke tartan waistcoats from them.
