I would venture to say it depends on how you wish to promote the kilt. If your business is predominantly meant for the special occasion, i.e. Weddings, New years, Burns night then possibly it's not necessary to have an employee kilted. However, if you wish to promote the garment as an everyday choice, it isn't a bad idea to wear your wares. I wear a kilt everyday in my shop, staff at Macleods Scottish shop down the street from me does as well. Rocky and Steve are kilted too. I would venture to say the staff at utilikilts do too. Maybe a North American thing
