I don't know if others do this too, but I do try to give as many of my clothes a certain amount of "wear time." Because if I don't, I start to feel like I shouldn't have that particular item since I never wear it.
But there ARE a few piles somewhere in the back of the closet that never get worn and should probably get thrown out/donated to charity.
