Here is a link to the second teaser trailer for the Disney/Pixar film Brave, to be released next summer:

Seems more like a typical Disney movie than a Pixar movie, but it could still be good. A goodly portion of the male characters are kilted, albeit in a not-quite-historically-correct fashion. Of course, if the scriptwriters are smart, they didn't attempt to establish a setting for the movie any more specific than "medieval Scotland". Of those male characters that aren't kilted (i.e. wearing a garment resembling the belted plaid), all appear to be wearing tunics without trousers. And yet, there don't seem to be any bare shanks (or even cadadh) among them. The film gives deference to the idea of clan tartans, or tartan as livery, although I imagine that made the animators' job considerably easier than it would have been otherwise. The king's tartan reminds me of the one Peter MacDonald designed for Rob Roy (1995), and the tartan of one of the clans reminds me of the Dress Stewart tartan.

I expect some of the early reviews will complain about the "phony Scottish accents" of some of the main characters.
