Good evening all,

Got my new accessory in. Got a custom sporran from Harold. I have a hunter from one maker and a really nice day sporran from Artificer.

Been looking for a dress sporran. Harold and I worked it out. Before I get to the main event I want to complement Harold on just pulling this together. He was working on some interesting restrictions. Amy added some interesting issues to this project. Both her and I don't care for hides that come from slaughter, i.e. minks, etc. We don't mind food game or the necessary culling. Amy adds the restriction of cute animals and anything that looks like the animals, no full face sporrans. This would also include rabbits.

This didn't make it easy on Harold but he came up with a good solution - nutria. For those not familiar with this varmint - nutria.com/site.php . He got in a really nice fur. It is very even in color, fur length, and feels incredible. First impressions are WOW! They get better as I look closer. The stitching tension and spacing are very even. Edges are well finished. The inside is great. Lining for the back and inside is very soft. Fur runs very consistently. The seam at the bottom where the fur runs down both sides is invisible, you have to fell for it.

Without further adieu (sorry about the quality of photos) -

Looking forward to the next chance to wear it, probably the local Burn's Dinner. This will go well with the other pieces like the hose and bonnet. I am looking forward to eventually having a complete X-Marks kit.
