Lol. Well, ....yeah. The very fact that mini skirts and slips are considered women's wear is arbitrary anyway (in my own mind and opinion) and the result of societal norms and upbringing that are subject to change... If you were an ancient Roman or Spartan solider, you definitely wore a mini-skirt. Anyway, I digress. As long as you don't go around announcing and advertising that you're wearing a ladies' slip under your men's kilt, the point is moot. (I mean, seriously. If you yanked down the pants of a hundred random people on the street, you'd probably be surprised at what you saw (or didn't see)).

But that's why I recommended (I forget where -- whether it was in this thread or another one) to consider a removable, detachable liner that would snap onto or velcro to the underside of the kilt, and that could (and hopefully would) be peeled off at the end of the day and laundered. Voila! No loss of freedom, PLUS good hygiene.
